Mozart Violin - Mondays 3:10 - 4:00
A combined class of new and continuing students in the 1-3 grade that teaches proper instrument and bow technique through fun, beginning folk songs and Suzuki repertoire. This class is a two year course - beginning songs and exercises differ from A to B years. Core material repeats every year, and continuing students will have the opportunity to learn harmony parts and extra songs when they are ready. |
Vivaldi Violin - Mondays 4:10 - 5:00
Students learn folk songs, fiddle tunes and beginning/intermediate core material, along with beginning note reading. Continued emphasis on technique and tone production. Open to continuing students with 2+ years of instrument experience, or by teacher recommendation. Motivated 4th -8th grade beginners may join this class with instructor approval. |
Beethoven Strings - Wednesdays: Full days 3:10-4:00 / Early dismissal 12:15 -1:05
Students learn folk songs, fiddle tunes, intermediate/advanced core material, and intermediate note reading. Students may choose to switch to viola or cello with instructor approval! Open to continuing students who have 3-4 years instrumental experience or by teacher recommendation. |
CMP String Ensemble - Wednesdays: Full days 4:10 - 5:00 / early dismissal 1:15 - 2:05
Advanced core curriculum & note reading, string orchestra arrangements, advanced skills and technique. Open to continuing Ensemble students and by teacher recommendation only. Students may be asked to demonstrate their abilities in a placement audition before enrollment. |
