Help us Save the
Pease Conservatory of Music!
|
The Pease Conservatory is a Sacramento treasure that has been nurturing the city's love for music and the arts for over 100 years. Built in 1899 and renovated as a music school in 1921, Pease is the oldest continuously operating music school in Sacramento and has been providing music lessons to our community for generations.
This beloved landmark is also home to the intimate W.J. Geery Theater, which has hosted award-winning productions since the 1970s. From its days as "The Show Below" to its current role as a community performance venue, this unique space has played a significant part in Sacramento's cultural heritage. |
Today, the Sacramento Institute for Music & the Arts calls the Pease home, continuing the legacy of arts education and performance. But we need your help to ensure this treasured building remains a vibrant hub of creativity for generations to come. Our goal is to raise the funds necessary to purchase the building, make necessary repairs and renovations to ensure the building's longevity, and to establish an endowment fund to support both the building and it's scholarship programs.
